On July 1, 2008 Brian Keefer was involved in a life altering gymnastic accident. Brian attempted to do a triple flip; when landing, his head went through the foam landing area and hit the bottom of the pit. The impact forced his C-4 vertebra to slip slightly over the C-5 vertebra. While his spinal cord is intact, the accident has left him a quadriplegic. Brian has achieved incredible progress through therapy and rehabilitation and remains hopeful that improvement will continue. Unfortunately, medical expenses are overwhelming and a long road still awaits him and his family. Brian returned to Lock Haven University where he continued his education and graduated on May, 2012 with a B.S. in Theraputic Recreation.
